About FastWeb

FastWeb is a free browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge that enhances search engine results pages. It shows a compact popup right on the search page with alternate domain links and your related bookmarks — without modifying the results themselves — and can pre-warm connections to speed up page loading.

When you search on Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, or Yandex, FastWeb scans the results for known mirrors and official alternate domains and shows matches in an overlay right on the page. You can manage your own domain lists and configure the extension through the browser sidebar, and easily share settings across devices via JSON export and import.

FastWeb also includes an acceleration mode that pre-resolves DNS, establishes TCP connections, and negotiates TLS handshakes for top search results — so pages load faster when you click. The extension runs entirely in your browser with no accounts, no analytics, and no data sent to external servers. The source code is open under the MIT license.
